“CORVUS Company” was established in 1994.The company’s mission – environmental safety by implementation of advanced technologies in terminals, ports, hubs and industrial enterprises hazardous waste administration.The main direction of our activity is collection of ship ballast and bilge waters polluted with oil products in the port area of Baltic States as well as processing for the second use of oil products and further utilization of oil sludge, tank cleanings and oil-contaminated water.During the work time we achieved a great experience in the sphere of oil products’ waste processing and utilization. Our treasure and the most essential achievement is a spiritually strong, single-minded, goal-oriented and united team, where highly skilled specialists with a great work experience under the belt are its members.Research works of the company’s innovation department under the supervision of doctor of the engineering science Alexander Polyakov were marked by a number of patents in Latvia and abroad and more than once were awarded on numerous international exhibitions and congresses.Technical capacity of the equipment we possess allows to gather up to 7 500 cubic meters of waste oils. To accomplish these tasks we operate with two purification complexes, the regeneration and industrial complex (IRC) for waste treatment of oil products and a landfill for burial ground disposal of hazardous waste. Also we use special vehicles according to ADR demands and a bilge water removing ship.Received directly from industrial objects, various mixtures of oil products, delivered to IRC, pass through several stages of processing and revising that pass a chemical laboratory state certification corresponding to ISO – 9001:2008 standard. The final treatment is carried out by a homogenizer, which brings composition until congeneric condition. Afterwards products are utilized by burning in special destructors. The thermal energy received is used for industrial needs.In order to fulfill the main principles of the company we created an environmental management system, ISO 14001:2004.Also we build up and implemented a hazardous waste management system according to Council of the European Communities hazardous waste directive N91/156/EEK dated 18.03.1991. and directive N91/689/EEC dated 12.12.1991 in various industries of Baltic states region. This system allows to any industrial enterprise that during its work forms hazardous wastes to satisfy the requirements of environmental safety according to EC directives and to minimize the expenses connected with the standards fulfillment.Taking into account the company’s activity sphere and growing demands with regard to environmental control one of the main “CORVUS Company” principles is a continuous improvement of environmental policy in order to reduce hazardous waste’s level of effects on environment.Based on these principles in year 2005 “CORVUS Company” established a daughter company „Zaļais Centrs”(Green Center) to provide more intensive coordination of hazardous waste management system and wastes harmful for environment.On the basis of Latvian Republic law “Natural resource tax law” dated 15.12.2005., regulations Nr.1293 and Nr.1294 dated 03.11.2009 issued by the Cabinet and other laws subordinated to them and on the basis of agreements Nr.43/37, Nr.42/36, Nr.44/38 dated 05.03.2009 with Environmental Ministry „Zaļais Centrs” has rights to remit Latvian ventures from natural resources tax payment and thus becomes responsible for hazardous wastes collection and processing standards fulfillment.Collaboration and interaction scheme of both companies “CORVUS Company” and „Zaļais Centrs” allowed in practice organize centralized system of hazardous waste collecting centers on the territory of Latvia.Our company is a member of «LASA» (Waste Management Association of Latvia) which in its turn is a member of«ISWA» (International Solid Waste Association).Our company is highly interested to become the best business partner for our customers and this intention motivates us to search and develop new and already existing services on the market.Preferred our company a customer can always expect to receive qualified and professional performed activities because the advantages of our company are:- Operational efficiency and flexibility, exact management organization, high qualification of the specialists;
